Personal: A central figure of the four-time national champion Rock squad of the Canadian Rugby Championship, Walsh has been a fixture for East coast rugby for years and at 35 years was among the oldest World Cup debutants in 2011. A long-time member of the Vandals RFC, Walsh made his Canada debut on the 2008 tour to Europe, coming on as a replacement against Ireland at the storied Thomond Park. A seafood manager for a large grocery chain, Walsh began is ascent to the Canadian team as a member of the Canada East team in the since renamed North America Four competition (now Canadian Rugby Championship).

Personal: Ciaran was a member of the Rock Rugby Team competing in the International Rugby Board Canadian Rugby Championship in 2011, where he was a stellar influence in the win versus the Canada Select Team at the start of the season. Since 2006, Ciaran has been a member of Canada's National Senior Mens Rugby Team, where in 2011 he was a starting player in all World Cup warm up international matches. Ciaran was a starting member of Rugby Canadas National Senior Men's Sevens Team competing in all six International Rugby Board World Sevens International Circuit. He was a gold medalist at the Pan American Sevens with Team Canada, while also starting two of four games at the 2011 Rugby World Cup held in New Zealand. He is a core member of the 2013 Canadian Men's 15's and Men's Sevens teams.
